At our AGM this year (Tuesday 30th September, 10am, Rose Hill Community Centre) we will be asking members to vote on proposed changes to our Articles of Association.  You can read the final version of the amended Articles here,  and the amended Articles showing the main changes to our original Articles here. Copies of these will also be available at the AGM, however we suggest reading them before attending.

What does it mean to be a Home-Start Oxford member?

As well as being a charity, Home-Start Oxford is a company limited by guarantee and we are governed by rules that apply to companies as well as charities. The trustees are the directors of the company and are responsible for overseeing its work, ensuring that it remains in good health financially and that it complies with its legal obligations. The body of the company are its members.

There is no subscription to becoming a member and membership is open to anyone who is interested in the work of Home-Start Oxford and wants to be more closely involved with what we do.

Being a member entitles you to attend and vote on issues raised at the AGM (and other general meetings), including the election of trustees. If Home-Start Oxford was ever dissolved, the liability of members would be limited to no more than £1 towards the cost of dissolution.

Need to let us know you no longer want to be a Home-Start Oxford member?

No problem. If you no longer wish to be a member you simply need to write to ask us to remove your name from the Register.  To do this email admin@homestartoxford.org.uk
